What's Changed
The big one this release is the character builder. Grimoire can now keep your party's character sheets right beside the books they came from. Grab a sheet for your game from the community catalogue (ten so far, from D&D 5e to Dungeon Crawler Carl) or paste in your own. How much a sheet does for you depends on the sheet. Some work out modifiers, saves and totals as you type and fill in what a class or background grants, while most are still a good-looking sheet you fill in by hand. Content packs add searchable spells, classes and feats. Rulesets let each GM keep their house rules inside their own campaign, so the table can stop arguing about which edition's grapple rules count. Drop a character into a campaign so everyone can see the sheet, and when your rogue finally meets the wrong end of a mimic, mark them dead instead of deleting them. RIP.
The sheets and content packs all live in the community add-ons repo, and that's where you come in. If your game isn't there yet, add it. If the sheet you use is mostly fill-in-the-blanks, teach it some math: wire up the formulas, hook it to a content pack, and make it do the bookkeeping so your players don't have to. The sheet guide and content pack guide walk you through it, and every PR makes the sheets better for everyone playing that game.
Big libraries got some love too. Shelves, galleries and tag pages now load from the server a page at a time as you scroll, instead of pulling your whole hoard into the browser at once.
