- The DNS filter comes back after Android kills it (#162). When the TV runs out of memory, Android kills personalDNSfilter and never restarts its VPN. dumbtv home now starts it again, without showing the app, when the home screen opens, at boot and every 15 minutes. For this it asks for one permission on Fire OS 7 and 8, run at startup (
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED), a normal permission with no prompt. - All apps section (#161, @softwaregames1, closes #136): Options › All apps section, off by default. Settings pushed into the media folder are now applied exactly once, even when a write fails.
- Library banner (#158, @SandheepSridar): an optional banner of titles you pick, hidden until a library folder exists. Nothing is downloaded.
- Icon packs (#159, @rawIce): Options › Icon pack uses an installed ADW/Nova icon pack, and Hold OK › Icon picks one app's icon.
- Spanish (#165, @Namiato): every word on screen comes from
strings.xml, with a Spanish translation. - Export settings for adb pull (#156, @lisanet): writes
home-export.confto the media folder, which adb can read on Fire OS 8.
