github hreskiv/mikr v2.0.0

Added

  • Charts: the Metrics, ISP link quality, SFP optical and BGP charts show the time and value under the cursor, and say when there is no sample there.
  • Topology: links that power a device over PoE are marked, and the link panel shows which port feeds it and how many watts, when the device reports them.
  • Logs → Analysis: a new page lists what each device logged that is new, far more frequent than usual, ongoing, or what went quiet in the last 24 hours, and how Wi-Fi clients behave: regular drops, weak signal, bouncing between access points, access points where many clients drop, and, with the older CAPsMAN, devices the access list keeps refusing. A device's Logs tab starts with the same summary for that device.
  • Logs → Analysis: also shows the hour a line started coming far more often or stopped, when a device's overall log level moved, and hours whose volume and mix of lines look unlike the device's other hours.
  • Syslog forwarding: mikr can pass every log line it receives on to another syslog server, such as a backup syslog or Wazuh, with each router's name in the line. Off by default; turn it on in Settings → Syslog, with an optional lowest level to forward. UDP only: while that server is down, the lines it misses are not resent.

Fixed

  • Device page: a long host name, such as a DDNS name, no longer overlaps the Board field.
  • Commands and templates: a command the router refuses, such as one with a bad parameter, now shows as an error for that device instead of a success, and counts toward the safety stop.
  • Edit Selected: Traffic history interfaces now takes one name per line, so a port name with a comma in it stays one interface.
  • Router log: opening a device page no longer leaves syntax error lines in the log of a router without the legacy wireless package or a switch chip, such as a CHR, nor repeats one on every visit for a feature the router does not have. After a RouterOS upgrade the manager looks for features again.
  • Templates: the hint for script templates no longer mentions a Run button they don't have.
  • Device page: after a reload, the Logs tab no longer goes missing until you open the page again.

Changed

  • Navigation: the sidebar is shorter, in four groups. Templates sit under Commands, Task history under Activity, API keys under Users, License and Webhooks under Settings, each with tabs at the top of the page, and Scan Network is a button on Devices. Dashboard is now called Overview.
  • Devices: one table instead of cards on the desktop, grouped by site with clearer breaks between sites, sites that fold, a flat view, and checkboxes that select a whole site or everything shown before Edit selected. The phone keeps its cards.
  • Overview: the desktop dashboard starts with what needs attention: devices that are down, flagged or answering with another serial, internet links down or degraded, metrics over your alert thresholds, PoE near its budget, read-only accounts, and, for planning, RouterOS or firmware behind and pre-releases. Below it are summary tiles, a tile per site that filters the device table, and a count beside Overview in the sidebar. The phone keeps its dashboard.
  • Upgrades: tabs renamed to Devices, Runs, Schedules and Package repository; a filter by state (behind, firmware waiting, up to date, pre-release); the actions appear once devices are selected, with a summary of what the selection holds; sites are set apart more clearly.
  • Device page: the header with the vitals and tabs stays on screen and folds to one line as you scroll. Tabs show only what the device has, with counts: Overview, Interfaces, Clients, Routing, VPN, Firewall, LTE, Logs, Backups and Console. Overview opens with the same warnings as Needs attention, then the ports, charts and device details in two columns. Actions such as Reboot and Remove are in one menu, and removing a device asks you to type its name. Clicking a port opens a side panel with its details, neighbours and traffic. Tables fit the page without scrolling sideways.
  • Charts: history charts draw straight lines between samples, mark short spikes that the average would hide, and label the axis with round numbers.
  • Look: every desktop screen now shares the new look. Rare and destructive row actions, such as Delete, Revoke or Reset 2FA, are in a ⋯ menu at the end of the row instead of a row of buttons.
  • Settings: on the desktop one group at a time, picked from a list under headings such as Your account, Devices and monitoring, or Logs and security. A link keeps the group, so it opens straight on it. The phone keeps its single page.
  • Commands: the command and the device list side by side, with a count of the devices picked, and the button says how many will run.
  • Templates: a table grouped by category on the desktop; click a template to see its commands.
  • DNS: the new look, with Pause and Delete of a replication rule in its ⋯ menu.
  • License: the new look, with the same tiles as Overview.
  • Backups: the new look, with the same tiles as Overview for backup health.
  • Sites: the new look, with each site's status, who has access and its DNS records. Clicking a site opens Devices filtered to it, and the address keeps that site, so it can be shared or reloaded.
  • Overview: a device running a beta or on the development channel no longer shows in Needs attention. The Pre-release button on Upgrades still finds them.
  • Dialogs: the title and buttons stay in view in long dialogs such as Add Device, confirmations look like the other dialogs, and the backup schedule dialogs have a Cancel button.
  • MCP: the issues tool uses the same rule as Overview and now also reports changed serials, internet links down or degraded, and pre-releases.
  • Search: the box under the logo, or Cmd/Ctrl+K, finds a device by name, address, board or site, and opens any page by name.
  • Settings: the ISP links group now explains everything it controls, including Degraded and the link history.
  • VLAN editor: a bridge with a comma in a port name is not changed. RouterOS separates VLAN ports with commas, so rename the port and keep the description in its Comment.
