While this update may seem like minor one, this actually is a very important and FIRST STABLE update to RC1:
Changes to RC1:
- This release adopts full "rolling" installation, that means, that starting from this ISO, you won't need to constantly download newer one each release, the up-to-date version is going to be installed REGARDLESS of which one you've downloaded.
- This update introduces
holoiso
pacman repository. which hasholoiso-main
package, WHICH is going to be used to deliver updates and new OS installation. While it is in pretty early stage of development, it works without any issues, and enrolls fully-functional OS release.
- This update addresses an issue, where
archlinux-keyring
would be broken for most IP connections - This update introduces following choices: Custom
root
password, passwordless/or passwordedsudoers
configuration - This update introduces proper disk selection (as in choosing either point number, node, and /dev node)
- Fixed "invalid choice" always appearing while choosing installation flavor
- For now,
gameonly
flavor is not usable, because it's undergoing renovation for now.
Known issues (While most of them are device-related, it's good to make sure people know about them.)
- Steam Deck's kernel is lacking AMD/MediaTek WLAN card drivers, and current dynamic kernel modules are incompatible with it.
- OnexPlayer, Aya Neo, and other similar devices with clockwise-rotated framebuffer has Deck session showing up upside-down. I'll try my best to address those issues later.
- SD UI cannot reboot/shutdown without additional password entry. I'll try my best to address those issues later.
- Report more x3, i like your feedback!
