v1.0.13: PC build no longer mixes two Windows SDKs

The zip below is everything needed to build the game from your own disc: the build scripts, the SDK patches, the function hints and the host application. As always, it holds no game code, assets or keys; the build takes those from your own copy of Midnight Club: Los Angeles Complete Edition (USA/Europe, Xbox 360) on your machine.

PC build: a new Windows SDK no longer mixes with the old one (#21)

What was wrong. After installing a newer Windows SDK (for example through v1.0.12's new check), running the build again could fail inside a Windows SDK header, such as xinput.h: expected function body after function declarator. The SDK's precompiled headers had been made with the old Windows SDK during the earlier run. The old header files were still on disk, so the build kept using them, and each file then mixed headers from two Windows SDKs.

The fix. Step 3 now records which Windows SDK and Visual Studio the SDK's build folder was made with, and starts that folder again when either changes. A build folder from an earlier version, which has no record yet, is only started again if the SDK never finished building; a working install is not rebuilt for this.

How far it has been checked

On Windows 11 under PowerShell 7 and Windows PowerShell 5.1, on test folders: the same Windows SDK keeps the folder, a different one starts it again, and a folder with no record starts again only when the SDK was never installed. Not reproduced with two real Windows SDKs; the reported log matches this cause.

The README has a new troubleshooting row for this error.

Getting it

Update (git pull, or unpack the zip over your copy) and run the same command again:

.\scripts\make_pc.ps1 -Iso C:\path\to\your.iso

Nothing changed for PS5 or Linux in this release.
