• "Do It For Me" Setup: We know setting up MCP servers can be complex. We've built a dedicated Setup Wizard that automates the creation of the config.json file and handles the proxy connection for you.
• Native Loader: The extension is injected directly into the application session, ensuring seamless integration with the Gemini interface.

📦 How to Update

1. Download the latest installer for your operating system below.
2. Run the installer (your settings and login session will be preserved).
3. To enable MCP features, go to Settings.

⚠️ Important for macOS users

Due to Apple’s Gatekeeper security, applications that are not signed with an Apple Developer ID are marked as “quarantined” after being downloaded from the internet. This may cause the error:

“App is damaged and can’t be opened”

How to run the app on macOS:

1. Download the .dmg file from the Releases page.
2. Open the .dmg and drag GeminiDesk.app into the Applications folder.
3. Open the Terminal and run the command below:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/GeminiDesk.app

1. Launch the application normally (via Launchpad).

This process removes the quarantine flag and allows the app to run. Without an Apple Developer ID, this manual step is required for all macOS downloads.
