HyperFrames v0.8.155
Released on 2026-10-13.
MP4 renders at widths like 1000, 1080 or 1112 no longer get a black strip down the right edge on newer FFmpeg. Both the Studio render route and the producer render server now take encoder settings such as CRF, and distributed renders keep the CRF you ask for.
Features
- Producer: The render server's
/renderand/render/streamacceptcrf,videoBitrateandvideoFrameFormat(5de2712ad5, #5550). A badvideoFrameFormatnow returns a 400 instead of being ignored. - Studio Server: Accept
crf,videoBitrate,videoFrameFormatandhdrModeon the render route (ab8a4da53f, #5549). Out-of-range values return a 400, andcrfwithvideoBitratetogether is rejected.
Fixes
- Engine: Keep the rightmost 8 columns of SDR MP4 at widths like 1080 (401354cd8f, #5559). FFmpeg 7.1 and 8.0 dropped the last 8 pixel columns to black when the width was 8 more than a multiple of 16.
- Producer: Keep the requested CRF in the distributed constant-frame-rate re-encode (bf4cf860fb, #5557). It used to fall back to the quality preset.
