What's new
- Fast in-app updates — switched from DMG mounting to zip extraction, so updates install in seconds instead of 1–2 minutes
- Compression fixed for all users — all required libraries (libavif, libwebp, libtiff, etc.) are now bundled inside the app. No Homebrew needed.
- Updater fixed — progress no longer stalls at 0%; install button now triggers a silent download → unzip → relaunch with no Finder windows
- Cleaner results list — file format badge removed, content type chip repositioned so filenames never get clipped
A note on older releases
All previous release assets (v1.2.1 through v1.2.9) have been removed. Those versions had issues ranging from compression failures on non-Homebrew machines to a slow and sometimes broken updater. v1.3.0 is the one to be on — if you're still running an older version, the update banner may appear on next launch.
Install
Download Dinky-1.3.0.dmg, drag Dinky to Applications and follow the install instructions on the README or here. Already installed? Click Install Update in the banner — Dinky handles the rest. But.. it may not work so, again, follow the install instructions.
