HC Player 1.5

HC Player 1.5 is a major reliability, presentation, and playback-core update built on the playlist, web-media, audio, and SponsorBlock foundation introduced in HC Player 1.4.

This release focuses on a newer multimedia engine, cleaner startup, more reliable fullscreen and improved Windows 11 integration, better minimize/restore behavior, and a large set of visual and input refinements.

• Updated libmpv / FFmpeg playback core.
• Updated Dolby Vision-capable gpu-next/libplacebo pipeline with newer metadata handling and rendering support — Dolby Vision Profile 7 FEL.
• New independent Remember window position option.
• Remember window size is now enabled by default.

• Improved Windows 11 seek/volume accent integration.
• Better Windows 11 slider hover and dark-theme thumb behavior.
• Improved minimize/restore handling for the embedded mpv video surface.
• Hidden transport controls now stay hidden after restore until the mouse actually moves.
• Taskbar thumbnail Play now replays media after end-of-file.
• Continuous playback is enabled by default for new/reset configurations.
• Cleaner Esc / Q keyboard handling.
• Updated HLS LIVE detection for the newer libmpv build.
• Improved MP4 track-name fallback in MediaInfo.
• YouTube comments-disabled API responses are shown as a clean localized message instead of raw API HTML.
