Bug fixes and improvements

Server

• Fix a quadratic slowdown in the number of fields in a selection set during graphql query parsing. (Thanks to Lorenzo for discovering this and offering a fix in #10886)
• Fix allow list normalization to properly remove __typename from inline fragments
• Breaking (server): Hasura no longer imports PostgreSQL COMMENTs on tables, columns and functions into the GraphQL schema for Postgres-family sources (PostgreSQL, Citus, CockroachDB). Table/column descriptions and computed-field descriptions (which were inherited from the backing function's COMMENT) now come only from Metadata (configuration.comment / configuration.column_config / computed-field comment). Upgrade Hasura CLI v2.51.1 and run hasura metadata codemod migrate-postgres-comments to migrate SQL comments to metadata.
• Automatically retry loading of inconsistent remote schemas. HASURA_GRAPHQL_REMOTE_SCHEMA_HEALING_INTERVAL=0 disables this new behavior. Retries will happen starting every HASURA_GRAPHQL_REMOTE_SCHEMA_HEALING_INTERVAL (by default 5000ms) with backoff until we loop every 2 minutes, forever.

Console

• Rewrite and modernize the Hasura Console across Community and Enterprise editions, consolidating database-management workflows and navigation, upgrading API Explorer to GraphiQL 5, remove Redux, and adding a persistent light/dark appearance preference.

CLI

• hasura init now generates a root AGENTS.md guide for CLI config v3 projects, documenting the multi-source project structure, metadata/migration workflow, and console-free validation/application steps for coding agents. Existing AGENTS.md content and other existing paths are preserved; config v2 projects are unaffected.
• Fix the URL prefix used by hasura console by removing the hardcoded /console path from the CLI's Console configuration. Developers using an older CLI version must add /console to the URL path when opening the Console.

New (cli): hasura metadata codemod migrate-postgres-comments migrates existing database table, column, computed-field and tracked-function comments into local Metadata (configuration.comment / column_config / computed-field comment / function top-level comment). It reads the database catalogs, writes only local metadata files, and supports --dry-run and --source. Migrate with hasura metadata codemod migrate-postgres-comments followed by hasura metadata apply.

Data Connector

• Fixed an issue in the Snowflake data connector where selecting multiple relationships targeting the same table, including nested relationships and repeated selections under different GraphQL aliases, could return incorrect results or unexpectedly null relationships.

Build

• Refresh the Ubuntu packaging base image to pick up the OpenSSL security update for CVE-2026-84782.
