FEATURES:

• plugin/apm/instana: Add Instana APM plugin with support for infrastructure metrics queries. Authenticate using the api_token config key or the INSTANA_API_TOKEN environment variable. [GH-1311]

IMPROVEMENTS:

• plugin/apm/nomad: Add support for grouping nodes by datacenter, node_pool, or a combination of multiple pool identifiers in node pool APM queries. Previously only node_class was supported. [GH-1300]
• policy/file: File-based scaling policies now support jsonencode(...) (for example in check.query). This makes complex JSON queries easier to write and maintain, since you can use native HCL objects instead of escaped JSON strings. GH-1320]

BUG FIXES:

• policy: Fixed a bug where policy handlers were not recreated for unchanged policies after the policy manager recovered from an unrecoverable source error, causing existing policies to stop being evaluated until they were updated again. [GH-1336]
• scaleutils: After drain completes, the autoscaler now waits until all tasks on the node are dead before terminating the instance, preventing in-progress lifecycle tasks from being lost. [GH-1337]
