FEATURES:

• plugin/apm/influxdb: Add new InfluxDB APM plugin with support for InfluxDB 1.x query API and InfluxQL queries. The plugin supports basic authentication, database selection, and automatic column detection for metric values.[GH-1248]
• plugin/apm/influxdb: Add JWT Bearer authentication support via shared_secret and username config keys, matching InfluxDB 1.x shared-secret auth (INFLUXDB_HTTP_SHARED_SECRET).[GH-1297]
• policy/plugin/apm/prometheus: Add query_window = "instant" support for checks. When set, Prometheus queries are executed as instant queries; existing range-query behavior remains unchanged for duration-based query windows. • policy: Add support for schedule blocks at policy and check level to control when evaluations have effect. Schedules are evaluated in UTC, use strict 5-field cron expressions, and support start with either end or duration.[GH-1264]

IMPROVEMENTS:

• agent: The nomad.namespace config field and -nomad-namespace CLI flag now accept multiple values, allowing the autoscaler to monitor scaling policies across several Nomad namespaces. Use * to monitor all namespaces. When a single namespace is provided the existing behaviour is preserved. [GH-1251]
• build: Updated to Go 1.25.10 [GH-1298]
• build: Updated protobuf generation tooling to use protoc-gen-go and protoc-gen-go-grpc. The generated plugin gRPC interfaces are unchanged and wire-compatible; existing external plugins do not require any changes. [GH-1289]

• policy: Reuse identical APM query results within a single policy evaluation to avoid duplicate source requests for checks that share the same source, query, query window, and query window offset. [GH-1252]
• plugin/apm/nomad: Support continued scaling during node drain (node_filter_ignore_drain) with safety and test hardening. [GH-1271]
• plugins: Fixed AWS-ASG plugin error handling so the underlying error is preserved when retry limit is reached. [GH-1266]
• scaleutils: Fix scale-in node identification to honor requested num and avoid selecting all eligible nodes. [GH-1282]

BUG FIXES:

• plugin/apm/nomad: Exclude ready + ineligible nodes from pool capacity calculations [GH-1286]
• plugin/target/aws-asg: Fixed a bug where nodes were drained before validating ASG constraints (Terminate suspended, DesiredCapacity at MinSize), causing unnecessary capacity loss. [GH-1290]
• policy: Fixed a bug where misconfigured strategy checks could crash the autoscaler instead of following normal on_error and on_check_error behavior. [GH-1275]
• policy: Fixed-value strategy checks no longer require APM source or query configuration. [GH-1281]
