Highlights
- Raw block device support
- Now raw block devices will be used by default, which greatly improves the VM boot-up time and IO performance.
- VM Live Migration
- Users can now migrate one VM from one node to another node without downtime.
- VM backup/restore
- Users can now backup/restore VMs to an S3 or NFS server outside of the cluster, after setting up the backup target. DOC
- PXE support
- Zero downtime upgrade
- NOTE: Due to pending OS changes in the roadmap, the upgradability to the GA release cannot be guaranteed at this moment.
- Per node NIC configuration
- Users can now specify different NICs per node for VLAN configuration.
- Install Rancher with Harvester
- Rancher now ships with Harvester, providing Kubernetes management support on top of Harvester. DOC
- Provision Kubernetes cluster using Harvester and Rancher
- Users can now use the built-in Rancher to provision new Kubernetes clusters on top of the Harvester cluster. DOC
- Support bundle
- Support bundle will help the developers to troubleshooting issues in the users' environment.
