[v2.0.0] - 2026-10-15
Why Upgrade
- Switch between open Mac documents with less waiting, including large Markdown and source files.
- Place the cursor more reliably on iPhone and iPad, and return to saved positions after large documents load.
- Browse overflowing Mac tabs with visible left and right controls.
Highlights
- Keeps compatible Markdown previews up to date without reloading unchanged content or losing your scroll position.
- Stops obsolete folder scans when you cancel project indexing.
- Adapts the phone toolbar when the available layout changes between compact and regular width.
Fixes
- Detects external file rewrites even when file size and modification time are unchanged, preventing stale text indexes during background tab activation.
- Keeps precise iPhone/iPad cursor placement from being overwritten by delayed saved-position updates (#770).
- Restores saved cursor positions after deferred large-file loading completes, without saving temporary placeholder positions (#770).
- Preserves manual scrolling through overflowing Mac tabs and adds accessible left/right navigation controls (#766).
Breaking changes
- None.
Migration
- No migration required. Existing documents, preferences, and optional AI provider settings are preserved.
Maintenance
- Adds real SwiftUI-to-first-draw tab activation benchmarks and regressions for snapshot ownership, stale results, typing during activation, cancellation, and preview reuse.
- Loads the macOS editor's initial text window in the background and reuses bounded render caches when returning to unchanged tabs.
- Verifies the existing CSV/TSV Settings switch through a disposable, externally driven UI acceptance fixture without modifying user preferences or document contents (#738).
- Completes loading/error translations and overflow-tab control labels across all seven app languages.
- Full iPhone Duo pose validation remains pending the Xcode/iOS 27.1 toolchain (#498); this release does not claim verified Duo support.
