[v1.9.1] - 2026-10-01
Why Upgrade
- Open and save Japanese Shift-JIS files using Apple's native text encodings.
- Keep the iPad status bar and toolbar separated, with less unused toolbar space.
- Jump to the beginning or end of long macOS documents with Command-Up/Down.
Highlights
- Exposes Apple’s available text encodings in the existing encoding picker, including Shift-JIS, with persisted encoding choices and non-lossy saving (#674).
- Allows the always-available Settings action to be reordered in custom mobile toolbars (#676).
Fixes
- Reveals the destination of macOS Command-Up/Down document navigation even when it lies outside the loaded editor viewport, including Shift-selection (#660).
- Loads the destination inside oversized single-line files using a bounded offset-aware window, preserving edit offsets, column reporting and repeated boundary navigation.
- Arranges the mobile status pill and bottom toolbar in one measured stack instead of independent fixed offsets, avoiding touching bars and double keyboard-accessory spacing (#672, #673).
- Fits the iPad bottom toolbar to its visible controls while retaining its window-width limit and horizontal scrolling (#675).
- Detects Shift-JIS KiriKiri text without the CP1251 punctuation corruption, preserving Cyrillic and Western fixtures (#674).
Breaking changes
- None.
Migration
- No migration required. Existing encoding choices remain compatible; ambiguous files can be reopened with an explicit encoding.
