The Prompt Lab, under the image
- The Prompt Lab is a bar under the image instead of a window of its own. Folded, it is one line: the images that go, the text, ✦ Rewrite, the time the render will take and Generate. Unfolded (a click on the text, View › Show Prompt Lab or ⌥⌘L; Esc folds it), it is a glass plate over the image, its edges fading, the image keeping its size; a click on the image folds it. The window opens with it unfolded. Folded, its line starts nothing: a click there only unfolds it.
- One text, one set of images: the Prompt Lab's text is the rack's prompt and its images are the rack's inputs, each with its role. Nothing to carry any more: Carry to the Rack and Use the Rack's Prompt are gone. The subjects the text cites (
@alice) are translated when the render is queued; the PNG keeps the typed text and what the model read. - Generate where the idea is written: at the end of the folded line, and at the foot of the unfolded plate with what the render costs (size, memory, renders, time). What stops it is said there, with the largest size this Mac renders when the memory is short, and so are the images the render will not read.
- Roles: under Qwen-Image-2.1 an image takes the next place (the image to edit, then the references); under Z-Image, Anima, Krea 2 and MOSS-Image it comes in without a role, with Describe and Start From This Image. A change of model never gives a role nor turns one into another: a role the model lacks stays, without effect, and works again back on the model that has it. A starting image's strength is set on its tile only.
- What is greyed does not go: under a model that reads no image, a subject's
@nameis greyed in the text and left out of what the model reads (any other@stays text: Anima's artists); under any model, so is a mention of an image the render does not carry (image 3with two images). The typed text keeps them, and the pointer on them says why. - Describe and Rewrite scroll as they write and keep the end of what they add in sight; the hand can scroll back at any time.
The rack and the history
- The rack reads the Prompt Lab: two small read-only ports on top, Text and Images (or Starting Image), each above the encoder it feeds, its wire dropping straight; a click on either unfolds the Prompt Lab. Its foot keeps the queue, this Mac's measure and what went wrong.
- The chain in small: scrolled down to the denoiser's settings, a band at the top of the rack shows the chain, the stage at work lit, each stage's time under it; a click brings the boxes back.
- Steps show in the denoiser's box only off the model's recipe (a PNG's settings reused,
silicontrol add --steps), with a ✕ back to the 8 it is distilled for. - LoRA cards: one Add (this model's LoRAs, then Import…), and a card per LoRA: a box to turn it off without losing it, its strength as a slider or a typed figure, its trigger words as a button that puts them at the head of the prompt; right-click to replace it, reset it to 0.8 or remove it.
- The history is a column on the right: Send to the Prompt Lab and Edit with Qwen-Image-2.1 on a render's menu. An image dropped on the canvas goes to the Prompt Lab, and Reuse These Settings is on its tile's menu: a PNG Siliconed wrote no longer changes the rack by itself.
- Render Again (Same Seed) keeps the image's size: an edit made at a typed size came back at its first image's proportions.
Series, by bracketing
- A yellow ± at the right of whatever can vary: the seed (on the Seed line: a batch of three is three seeds, s, s+1, s+2), a LoRA's strength, the starting image's strength, the solver, the Detail, and the text. Empty, it offers; full, it varies. Its bubble (or Bracket… on a right-click) holds the values as chips, a cross on each, a + and a step and a count that redo them; three values around the current one to begin with (a LoRA ±0.2, a start ±15 points, three seeds). Compare LoRAs… on the LoRA stack puts a LoRA per cell, beside the image without.
- Vary This Word… on a word or a selection: the group is drawn as a chip in the text (« teal · coral red · mustard yellow »), braces typed by hand become one; a click on it opens its bubble.
- Generate renders the whole series as finished images, at their number of steps, each into the history as it ends; the canvas shows the grid while it renders and until an image is chosen, and Add Sheet to History makes one image of it. Two axes at most, columns and rows: a line per axis beside Generate says what varies, its ✕ brings that setting back to one value, ⇄ exchanges columns and rows, and the button counts what it will render (« Generate 9 Images »).
- Sketches, Finish This Image and the exploration panel are gone: a series is only finished images. Each cell is the image a render alone would give, checked to the bit (a 3 × 3 of words and seeds, and a batch of three seeds, against the same renders made one by one).
Your writer's instructions
- Settings › Prompt Lab shows the ten instructions the writer follows (Rewrite and Describe, for each of the five models), whole, in English, as they are sent. Edit one and yours is sent instead of ours, for that model and that gesture only; Restore brings ours back; one left untouched follows ours from one version to the next. The Prompt Lab's bar says « Your Instruction » beside the model's name, and a click there opens it.
The Icon chart, and Settings
- The window takes the icon's colours: at night an indigo with a mint glow for what runs, by day a pearl with an indigo ink; the wires in peach, rose and sky at equal lightness, a series in yellow, a refusal in red. The system's blue is gone from the window: segments, boxes and links in the chart's indigo, the caret in peach and the selection in a faint indigo in the prompt and in the writer's instructions.
- Settings redrawn: icon tabs, General · Macs · Prompt Lab · Advanced, one row per setting with its name, one line and the whole sentence on hover. Macs holds this Mac — its chip, its memory, its measure in a few words — and the Macs it borrows; General says where the library is, what it weighs and what is left on its disk.
This Mac's measure
- Its sheet asks for a Mac at rest beside Start, when you open it yourself; the first render still starts it by itself, as the command line does. A finished measure applies even when the settings were read before it.
- It says its own length better: the thin products' tiles are chosen on two rounds instead of three (the same plans on the maps of three Macs), and the time it announces now counts its tile trials and its checks of a busy Mac. Maps took 1.7 to 2.1 times what they announced; a Mac slow enough to pass the five-minute ceiling now measures at a lighter tier instead.
Libraries made of links
- A library whose store, maps or components are symbolic links is weighed through them (a linked folder weighed nothing), moved with the files they reach (a move carried none of them, then removed the links from the old place) and copied by the working copy. Removing anything still removes the link, never its target.

Checks
-
Anima's DiT and its 8-step trajectory are checked at 1536² against diffusers, in full precision and on the half-precision paths (
siliconed check anima); their goldens are written on request (anima.py --size 1536). -
