This release is a collection of many small improvements that add up to a smoother everyday experience when editing and searching your tree. Lists and gallery media can be reordered by drag & drop, the date editor explains each date type, and titles are edited right in the heading. The search shows results as you type, the lists get more filters, and tasks are improved throughout. On the map, the historical map now follows the year slider in real time.
New Features
- Drag & drop to reorder list rows and gallery media in edit mode, with a long press on touch screens. Attributes, addresses, URLs, associations and place names can now be reordered too #1617, #1623 (closes #777)
- The date editor is reworked, with chips for the date type, a hint for each type, and checks for invalid days and months #1639
- Search as you type, with prefix matching. Search results, the object picker and the map search show more details, e.g. birth and death of people and the first line of notes #1620
- More filters for the lists: people by name, families by father, mother or child name, sources by author, places by type and repositories by type. A GOQL field with syntax highlighting replaces the GQL field #1629, #1633
- Improved tasks: the task list gets the advanced filter, a status menu on each row and sorting by priority. On the task page, tasks can be deleted with undo and made private. Fixes many bugs in both #1618, #1625, #1628, #1630 (closes #961)
- The historical map follows the year slider in real time, without delays while dragging #1634
- Opacity slider for your own maps by @petermgrund in #1615 (closes #1575)
- The fan chart colours by the surname of the birth name by @lukasganster in #1645 (closes #1546)
- Click the title of a task, source, repository or media object to edit it directly in the heading #1624, #1626
