Pre-release of v3.45.0, for field validation of #828: a stalled model backend. HACS offers it only to users who opted into betas. It contains everything on main as of 7d46520.
#828: a model provider that stops answering no longer hangs every call
When a provider accepts a request and never replies (for example an Ollama server wedged under memory pressure, #813), a configured fallback now takes over within the same conversation turn or camera frame. Before, the hung provider used the whole time limit and the fallback was never tried.
After 3 long timeouts in a row the provider is marked stalled:
- A warning in the log names it.
- Calls skip it. If it is the only provider, a call fails at once with an error naming it.
sensor.sentinel_healthreadsdegradedand lists it understalled_model_providers.
A small test request every minute brings the provider back as soon as it answers.
New since beta.3:
- Asking to open a cover can no longer close it while the reply says it opened (#797).
- Sentinel's "Baseline drift" notice is removed (#807).
- Sentinel notification bodies follow the Home Assistant language (Czech and English), and every discovery template has a label (#826, thanks @hruba202).
- The PIN-gate fixes shipped in 3.44.5–3.44.8 (#780, #779, #814, #820), plus the brand icon (#818).
