A pre-release for field validation. HACS offers this only to users who have enabled beta versions for this repository. It is not a public release, and the changes below still ship to everyone in the next monthly bundle as 3.43.0.
It supersedes v3.43.0-beta.9. Everything below was found and field-verified during structured testing on a Home Assistant Voice PE.
What changed since beta.9
- The agent's give-up reply is spoken (#691). When the agent gave up after several tool-use attempts, its "I wasn't able to complete this request…" reply overwrote the turn's last tool call. With the spoken acknowledgement on, a voice satellite then said nothing at all. The reply is now added after the call and spoken.
- "Is the lock locked?" works again (#693). The extra arguments HGA adds to lock and unlock commands were also added to state questions about a lock. Home Assistant rejected them, so every such question failed and looped. This had been broken since v2.8.0.
- "Is the front door open?" answers when the door is closed (#694). For open/closed questions, HGA widened the lookup to all door and window sensors and kept only the open ones. That hid a closed, named door, and the agent said it couldn't find it. A lookup naming a specific device is now passed through unchanged. "List all open windows" is unchanged.
- Docs (#692). On a Voice PE, the acknowledgement timing As soon as the agent starts can produce a brief click while the agent works. In a trial it clicked on 4 of 8 turns, versus 0 of 8 with Before the first tool call and 0 of 6 with the acknowledgement off. The audio HGA sends is clean; the click comes from the device. Choose Before the first tool call to avoid it.
Everything from beta.9 and earlier is included. See CHANGELOG.md under Unreleased.
