Fixed
- The "snapshot appears frozen" warning no longer sends you chasing a crash that never happened — field testing on battery Ring cameras (@andymcmanus in #466) proved that ring-mqtt's
Auto(default) andMotionsnapshot modes never request snapshots from battery cameras at all (filed upstream as tsightler/ring-mqtt#1103): nothing froze, and restarting the add-on doesn't help in those modes. The stale-snapshot warning now names both possible causes and the matching remedy — switch the camera's snapshot mode toInterval, or add a small automation that presses the camera's take-snapshot button on each Ring event. The camera documentation now tells the full battery-camera snapshot story, including a copy-paste automation example with the guard condition that keeps it from waking every camera after a Home Assistant or MQTT restart, what happens to the previous event's leftover frame, and the side effects to expect on quiet or very busy cameras.
