Godot 4.0 beta 16 is a beta snapshot for the 4.0 major release. Beta snapshots are feature-complete and provided for public beta testing to catch as many bugs as possible ahead of the stable release.

To make a custom build which would also be recognized as beta16, you should define GODOT_VERSION_STATUS=beta16
in your build environment prior to compiling.
