Godot 3.1 RC 2 is a release candidate for the 3.1 feature release. Release candidates focus on finalizing the release and fixing remaining critical bugs.

To make a custom build which would also be recognized as rc2, you should define GODOT_VERSION_STATUS=rc2
in your build environment prior to compiling.
