kV81: The Paddle Fuck-Up Edition, Part I.

latest releases: 87, 86, 85...

long summary short (not really): a very few amount of you have had issues with Licenses within the past three years where kV couldn't verify their validity after a new billing date. after two years talking with Paddle, they've finally released a fix three weeks ago. then a fix for the fix. then a fix for the fix of the fix. ultimately, in a minor update of their SDK, they've changed they way they identify devices... might be good for the future (hopefully), but that means that possibly more of you will see your License unverifiable, or even worse, EXPIRED, while YOU PAID. THAT SUCKS BALLS!!! i've made changes on kV's side so that if/when it happens to you, you just have to remove the License by clicking the alarm clock in the Settings, and enter it again. yes still that sucks. yes i'm super not happy about it. no i can't change payment provider coz Paddle is the only one available in my country. and yes i'm super sorry. overall the fiasco that is macOS Tahoe and the Paddle issues feel like it's harder and harder to release high quality products. anyways, Paddle confirmed today that they're aware of the issue, and it is affecting a lot of other apps. this update will hopefully mitigate what can be done, and i will of course send more updates as soon as Paddle fixes their shit.
