1b24. The We Are Family™ Edition.

latest releases: 89, 88, 87...

summary: there's two new Families: Electron and 911. the Electron Family is for... 🥁️🥁️🥁️... Electron apps. it will set up the macOS Accessibility for Electron. results will vary depending on the Electron version the app is using, and its own implementation. if you find that the Electron Family doesn't work, then your Electron app deserves to die. but for now you can move it to the Key Mapping Family instead, that has been adapted to handle Electron apps too. for the baddest of the baddest apps where nothing works, you have the new 911 Family. that will enforce the Keyboard Strategy Text Elements. that'll be useful for apps where the developers never touched a Mac.

🚨️ subscription coming soon 🚨️

sorry folks but the subscription will be coming before the end of Covid. it'll be $USD3.69 a month (yes, 69 cents more than i had wished. payment processing fees blah blah). and excluding VAT coz Europe 25% wtf. that's enough for the bad news. the good news is that i'll be adding an option to stop checking for update in the next version. so if you're happy with the current state of the app, you can keep using it forever. the builds will always be available on GitHub. the other good news is that if you're sleeping from 5am to 1pm you'll be able to use kV full-featured without a sub. else it'll need its 8 hours of sleep.

new

  • native Electron support
  • the 911 Family, for apps made by children
