Pocket2FA 0.9.16 – Release Notes
- Desktop window position and size are now remembered between sessions. On Windows and Linux, the app restores its previous window geometry — including maximized state — and prevents the window from opening off-screen when display configurations change. Closes #14
- Fixed a critical startup failure on Windows when the Documents folder is redirected to a network share. The app now stores its data in %APPDATA% instead of Documents, where it is always writable. Existing users are automatically migrated so no settings or accounts are lost. This also fixes the "Authentication failed" error that could appear after biometric unlock when the storage was on an inaccessible network path. Closes #13
- Startup is noticeably faster, especially on Android. Blocking initialization work is now deferred past the first frame so the app appears responsive immediately.
- QR code scanning is more reliable and no longer produces duplicate entries. The scanner now uses enhanced detection settings and includes a guard against double-scanning the same code. After scanning, the app automatically syncs to show the new account without needing a manual refresh.
- The camera button on desktop now shows a clear, translated message explaining that camera-based QR scanning is not supported on desktop platforms, instead of a generic "no camera" error.
