Harness Remote v2.1.0

latest releases: v3.6.0, v3.5.0, v3.4.0...

This release is largely the work of @birabittoh, who rebuilt how a conversation is rendered. The chat went from a wall of raw output to something you can actually follow on a phone.

Upgrading from 2.0.0 is a normal update — no reinstall, and your settings are kept.

The conversation, rewritten

  • Replies stream in token by token instead of appearing all at once when the turn ends, and the view stays pinned to the newest output as it grows — without yanking you back down if you have scrolled up to read something.
  • Each turn's thinking, tool calls and edits collapse into one action row, expandable for the full detail, so a long agent run reads as a summary rather than a transcript dump.
  • Tool calls, diffs, reasoning and to-do updates are formatted for what they are rather than printed as raw JSON or shell output. Diffs render as coloured unified patches with an expandable full view.
  • You can answer the agent's questions from the chat. When it asks something interactive, the options appear inline and your answer goes straight back.
  • Long commands, output and diffs are truncated in place with the full text a tap away.

Faster with it

The message list and each message are memoized, and unchanged messages keep their identity across streamed updates and the periodic refetch. Typing in the composer no longer re-renders the conversation, and one streaming message no longer re-renders the others. The polling fallback is skipped entirely while live updates are connected.

Fixes

  • The event stream no longer reconnects on a loop against the OMP bridge. The new stall watchdog treats a long silence as a dead connection, which is right, but the bridge only spoke when something happened — so an idle session was torn down and rebuilt every 30 seconds. The bridge now beats every 10s like OpenCode does.
  • Layout and mobile fixes throughout: session card actions on one row, status pill on the stats row, send button beside the composer, top bar scrolling with the page, modal spacing, and no horizontal overflow in chat.
  • Creating a session now takes you straight into it.
  • A reasoning update can no longer shrink thinking text that was already on screen, and the periodic refresh no longer wipes streamed reasoning.

All newly added strings are translated across English, Italian and Traditional Chinese.
