This build previews 2.5.0, the version heading to a public release. This one focuses on video: smoother, more reliable playback in the viewer, and pinch to zoom that focuses on the point you pinch, plus fixes to editing videos and to editing while offline. This is the deciding test before 2.5.0 ships, so please give the whole app a real workout.

Fixed and improved
- Videos play more smoothly and reliably in the viewer.
- Pinch to zoom now focuses on the point between your fingers, in the photo and video viewer.
- Editing a cloud photo or video while offline shows a clear message and keeps your edit, instead of hanging on a dead connection.
- Adding an mp3 or other non-AAC soundtrack to a video now saves instead of failing, and an edited cloud video keeps its original date.
What to test
Please focus on video first: play several videos back to back and check that playback stays smooth with no glitch or black flash, and that a video still plays after you return to it, then pinch to zoom into both photos and videos. Try editing a cloud video (check the date, and that an mp3 soundtrack saves) and editing while offline (a clear message, your edit kept). Then give the core features a thorough pass, since this is the deciding test before 2.5.0 ships: viewing your gallery, upload, download, managing albums, editing photos and videos, sharing via Drive, using the app without an account, the duplicate finder, semantic search, and face recognition. Please also check whether indexing or the face scan ever still looks stuck. Installs over your current version and keeps your data.
