- Sharper previews of suspended tabs: native browser screenshots of the tab you're looking at, so YouTube, GitHub and other pages that came out blank now get a real preview. Options → Screen capturing → "Capture method" (Automatic by default). (#286, #505, #516, #519)
- "Keep a recent screenshot of tabs as I use them" (off by default): real previews for tabs suspended later in the background. Asks for all-sites access when turned on; never captures incognito or allowlisted tabs. (#508)
- Never suspend a tab group, from the group's right-click menu, plus the option "Never suspend tabs in a tab group". (#133, #483, #489, #490)
- Suspend or unsuspend all tabs that aren't in a group, from the context menu or two assignable shortcuts.
- Ukrainian, and Ukrainian and Sinhala now load when the language follows the browser. (#493, #552)
- Startup checks setting: how many suspended tabs are checked at once after a restart, 1 to 8, default 3. (#548)

Security
- GHSA-qv22-cq95-fcqr: HTML injection on the History page via a crafted backup-file name. Reported by squeeze440.
- GHSA-wxv6-36j4-qw5f: HTML injection into extension pages via the suspended page's legacy
url=parameter and locale strings. - GHSA-wh6f-63h6-wvq6: other extensions could suspend tabs skipping the user's protections.
Versions up to 9.0.3 are affected; update to 9.1.0.
Permissions
activeTab(no install warning): native screenshot of the tab being suspended.<all_urls>as an optional permission, requested only when "Keep a recent screenshot of tabs as I use them" is turned on.
