A major release: session backup, tab health checks, a news feed, a visual redesign, and full localization coverage across all supported languages.

Highlights

• Session backup & restore: automatic local or Google Drive backups on a schedule, plus emergency backup on browser close. Multi-device aware (per-device rotation, friendly device names), with settings backup/restore and a "Restore from backup" flow that imports straight into Sessions.
• Tab Health page: scans suspended tabs for unloaded pages, missing favicons, and (Chrome/Edge/Brave) tabs broken by the Tab Groups restart bug, with one-click repair.
• News feed: a new "News" sidebar page pulling the latest posts from the Marvellous Codeworks blog, with unread tracking and a badge.
• Visual redesign: refreshed icon set, fonts (Inter / JetBrains Mono), and consistent design-system tokens across every page.
• Google Drive backup scope narrowed to drive.appdata (hidden, app-only folder), no more sensitive drive.file permission, and no OAuth verification hurdle for any Google account.
• Full localization pass: every non-English/Italian locale (16 languages) brought up to parity with the English source; en/it remain the only actively-maintained references, everything else welcomes native-speaker review via Crowdin.

• All dynamic UI strings (status messages, context menus, confirmations, aria-labels) now consistently follow the language selected in TMS settings instead of the browser's UI locale.
• Numerous backup-page layout and consistency fixes (settings grid alignment, Drive account/folder display, device name handling, cooldown/flood protection on manual backups).
• Local backup rotation/collision fixes for multi-browser setups sharing one Downloads folder.
• XSS hardening in the restore status bar; various null-deref and unhandled-rejection fixes in the background service worker.
• Automatic Tab Groups startup-bug workaround removed from the background (Chrome 150 fixes it natively); on-demand repair remains available from the Tab Health page.
• Option to preserve YouTube playback position on suspend: new setting (defaults to enabled, preserving existing behavior) lets you disable appending the playback timestamp to a suspended YouTube tab's URL.

⚠️ Note on translations

This release closes large translation gaps that had accumulated across every non-English/Italian locale (in some cases, whole feature areas were left untranslated). The fixes were AI-assisted rather than reviewed by native speakers of each language. If you spot an awkward or incorrect string in your language, corrections via Crowdin are very welcome.
