SingleFile CLI 2.17.0
New features
- New option
--custom-stylesheet <css>: CSS inserted into the page (and all the frames) just before it is saved. Unlike--browser-stylesheet, which takes a path and is inserted by the browser when the page loads, it takes the rules themselves and is in effect when SingleFile reads the page, so it can also keep an element the page hides. A typical use is to expand a text clamped to a few lines on a chat site, such as a prompt in Gemini or in Google AI Mode, so the saved page shows all of it, e.g.--custom-stylesheet "[role=heading]:has(+ [role=button][aria-expanded]) { -webkit-line-clamp: none !important }"
CLI fixes and improvements
- single-file-core is updated from 1.6.24 to 1.6.25, see https://github.com/gildas-lormeau/single-file-core/releases/tag/v1.6.25. For the CLI it means the following
- An image served with an error status was replaced with an empty image, although browsers display it. For example, the Google favicon service answers 404 with a globe icon for a site without favicon, and the icon was missing from the saved page
- With
--compress-content, a font, a CSS image or asrcsetcandidate whose download failed produced an empty file in the archive
