oot-vr v0.4.0-alpha

The bow, the slingshot, and the hookshot now shoot where you point. You throw the boomerang with your arm, and you swing the Deku Stick and the Megaton Hammer.

This is an alpha release. Some problems are known. Save frequently.

Added

• Throw the boomerang with your arm (#94). Hold the right grip, move your arm, and release the grip. A faster throw goes farther. The left trigger also throws the boomerang, along the controller.
• Physical Deku Stick (#87). Swing it to hit. It breaks on a hit or a wall, as in the original game.
• Physical Megaton Hammer (#86). Swing it to hit enemies, the floor, and the rusted switches.
• EXPLORE quest type (#92). The file starts with all items, as adult Link in the Temple of Time.

Changed

• The bow, the slingshot, and the hookshot shoot along the weapon (#90, #91, #93). An aim mark shows where the shot will hit.
• The item selector takes the boomerang out and does not throw it.
• Weapon Aim Trim is removed from VR Settings > Calibration. No weapon uses it now.
• The SoH menu is closed at the start (#88).

Known problems

• When a large area loads with large texture mods, the frame rate drops for some seconds (#78).
• The game does not stop while the menu is open.
• Bombs, bombchus, and Deku nuts do not use your arm yet (#96).

Install

1. Enable developer mode on the headset.
2. Install oot-vr-v0.4.0-alpha.apk with SideQuest or adb install.
3. Copy your dump into the Download folder of the headset.
4. Start OoT VR from Unknown Sources, and select your dump.

If you have an older version, install this APK over it. Your saves stay.
