Quicker on screen, more without it, and quieter schedules.
Quicker on screen
- Agents can do several taps and typing in one go. Each step still goes through your approvals, and the batch stops at the first problem or approval card.
- They wait for something to appear (a page, a message) instead of guessing a delay.
- They can read a whole long chat or list in one call ("summarize today's group chat"), or scroll until they find something.
More without the screen
- Notifications: "what did I miss?" Agents can read your current notifications (with notification access; a notification rule's run can't).
- Media: play, pause, next, volume, and what's playing, also with the phone locked.
- Calendar: agents can read your events (Buddy asks for access the first time) and open the Calendar app with a new event filled in, for you to save.
Scheduled
- New in Settings → Experience: Scheduled, every chat's task with Run now and Pause, and the messages and reminders agents scheduled.
- Only tell me when there's news: a scheduled task can end without a notification when it finds nothing new. Its reply is still in the chat, and a problem always notifies you.
- Reminders: ask an agent to remind you of something, and you get a plain reminder at that time, without the agent running again (none of your plan used).
View steps
- The "N tool calls" line of a chat has View steps: what the agent did on the phone in the last 3 runs, each step with a small picture of the screen after it. Kept only on your phone, deleted with the chat, never for incognito chats.
Updating
Buddy will tell you about this update (or ask any agent "update yourself"). Otherwise install buddy.apk below over your current Buddy; your chats, settings and sign-ins are kept.
