Give Buddy your own look, and see what the agent is doing.
Buddy's look
- Settings → Appearance → Buddy's look: keep the original face, or pick a picture from your phone. A PNG or WebP with a transparent background works best; empty edges are trimmed.
- It shows on the floating bubble and next to Buddy's replies in the chats. The ring, breathing and gestures work as before, and the change shows right away.
- The picture stays through updates. If it goes missing, Buddy's own face comes back.
The bubble
- The pill says what the agent is doing right now: "Using your phone · Tapping “Send”", or "Browsing reddit.com · Typing" for the background browser.
- Waiting and listing apps no longer count as using your phone, so they don't switch on the "Using your phone" state.
Background browser (GitHub version)
- Using the rest of your phone no longer holds up the browser: only touching the browser itself pauses the agent.
- Sign-in forms and buttons inside web components (Reddit's, for example) can now be used and marked.
- Invisible reCAPTCHA on sign-in pages no longer counts as a bot check.
- Chromium runs fewer processes (5 instead of about 9) and stops after 3 idle minutes. If Termux or Buddy's sessions get closed with "signal 9", see the user guide.
Updating
Buddy will tell you about this update (or ask any agent "update yourself"). Otherwise install buddy.apk below over your current Buddy; your chats, settings and sign-ins are kept.
