umbrelOS 1.4.1 builds on the 1.4 release that introduced Files — adding file-search capabilities, two handy new Files widgets, real-time file transfer progress, richer media controls, and several performance improvements and bug fixes.
New features
- File search: Search within the Files UI or from anywhere in umbrelOS with the global
⌘/Ctrl + Ksearch. - Files widgets: Two new widgets - Favorites lets you open your pinned favorite folders, and Recents surfaces your recently modified files.
- File transfers: Keep an eye on speed and ETA while copying or moving files in real-time.
Enhancements
- Snappier navigation and load times across the OS.
- When a duplicate file is detected, choose to 'Skip', 'Replace', or 'Keep both' before the transfer starts.
- Infinite scrolling when browsing extra-large folders.
- Preview controls: Cycle through photo, video, and PDF previews with
←/→arrow keys, and play/pause videos with thespacebar. - Additional bug fixes and stability improvements.
