15 PRs since v0.18.0-beta.3. The player can now play straight from a folder or a WebDAV share, Discover gains a People tab, and qBittorrent 5.3 stops logging you out. Files libraries finally landed in this cycle, but they are very experimental: the player marks them as such, and we would love to hear what breaks.
Player
- Files libraries (very experimental): use a folder on the device or a WebDAV share as a library. The player scans it, matches files against TMDB, and shows posters, seasons, Continue Watching and watch state like any other server; a Fix match sheet corrects mismatches. Folder and WebDAV are marked Experimental in the app, so expect rough edges and please report them (#1363, #1367).
- A System theme on Linux follows the desktop's greys (GNOME, KDE Plasma, elementary OS) and its accent colour (#1365).
- On iOS the menu opens as a full page instead of a drawer (#1355).
- A sideloaded Android install updates in one press and relaunches on the new version (#1352).
- Android TV and Google TV: choosing a sidebar section lands focus on the grid, detail pages land on Play, focused buttons are easier to see, and the cast button is gone (#1353, #1351).
- A hidden "Playing on" banner comes back the next time that player starts something (#1356).
- Launches on the same network as the server no longer stall for about 9 seconds when the connection switches from the relay to a direct path (#1361).
Web UI
- Discover has a People tab, and cast without a TMDB link opens a people search (#1354).
- The person popup lists best-known titles first, and media pages show their cast in a row under the overview (#1358).
Downloads
- qBittorrent reuses its WebUI session instead of logging in on every call, so qBittorrent 5.3's session limit no longer signs you out of your browser (#1362).
