github getmydia/mydia v0.18.0-beta.1

pre-release3 hours ago

First beta of 0.18.0, covering 49 PRs since v0.17.0. Mydia can now be translated, in the web UI and in the player, and ships Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese. Manual search has been redesigned, and you can now move titles between libraries.

Translation

  • The web UI is translatable. Each user picks a language on their profile, or leaves it on Automatic to follow the browser, and admins can set an instance default (DEFAULT_UI_LANGUAGE). Every page is translated, and translators contribute through Weblate (#1255, #1256, #1258, #1260, #1266, #1269).
  • The player follows the same model: a Language row in Settings > Appearance, every screen translated, and the web player opens in the launching user's language (#1264, #1270, #1274, #1276, #1278, #1280, #1282, #1283).
  • Brazilian Portuguese for the web UI and the player (#1259, #1272).

Library

  • Move movies and shows, with their files, into another library from the detail page or the batch toolbar. A preview shows what will be hardlinked and what will be copied (#1292).
  • A new movie defaults to the library that already holds most of its franchise (#1298).
  • A-Z jump bar on Movies, TV Shows and custom sections (#1277).
  • Title sort ignores a leading "The", "A" or "An", and library pages remember their sort and filters per user (#1302).
  • Files renamed or moved outside Mydia are relinked instead of duplicated, and files that vanished stay out of Trash (#1285).
  • Unaired episodes and unreleased movies read as Upcoming instead of Missing, with a matching filter (#1249).
  • Library exports list every item's files, with a new "Files (CSV)" format (#1286).

Search and downloads

  • Manual search redesign: filter by indexer, multi-select quality, source and codec chips, and a layout that works on phones (#1303, #1305).
  • Manual search marks releases that failed or were blacklisted before, and explains up front when a grab would be refused (#1271).
  • The media page says which episodes are downloading, with overall progress and a badge per download, and no longer counts seeding torrents (#1307).
  • The Downloads Issues tab is one filtered list with a one-tap fix per row, and fits a phone (#1253).
  • Row clicks in the Downloads list are no longer lost while it refreshes, so cancelling several downloads in a row works first time (#1261).
  • Search results and imports now read quality through one parser, so labels match everywhere and channel preferences score search results (#1273, #1275).
  • The built-in Cardigann engine now agrees with Prowlarr on every recorded definition, checked by a new parity oracle that replays recorded tracker responses through both (#1296, #1299, #1308).

Web UI

  • Drag to reorder Home sections (#1254).
  • Zinc Light and Zinc Dark themes (#1294, #1295).
  • Configuration, Administration and System pages show their tabs as lifted tabs joined to the page (#1250).
  • Region-locked trailers fall back to another trailer, with a manual switcher (#1290).
  • Media page, sidebar and requests fixes from user feedback, a profile page that fits phones, thinner file menu separators, and outlined toolbar buttons that read on dark themes (#1281, #1287, #1289, #1306).
  • Link an SSO identity to an existing local account from your profile. Optional email auto-linking with OIDC_LINK_BY_EMAIL=true (#1279).
  • Picked for you no longer resolves titles to obscure namesakes (#1291, #1297).

Fixes

  • URL-backed import lists can be updated, enabled and synced again without resubmitting the URL (#1265).

Under the hood

  • metadata-relay installs Tailwind with Req (#1248).
  • The streaming tests tolerate a transcoder that dies while being stopped (#1304).

Upgrade notes

  • Quality profiles that preferred BDRip or BRRip now prefer BluRay, and those names are dropped from excluded sources. A migration rewrites stored profiles (#1273).
  • Users who never picked a language are reset to Automatic, so they follow their browser instead of being pinned to English (#1255).
  • Library export JSON is version 2. All version 1 keys are unchanged (#1286).
  • Title sort order changes for titles starting with an article (#1302).
