The 3.0.0 release fixes issues reported or discovered in both of the 3.0.0 Beta releases. If your installation is running any 3.0.0 Beta release, it is HIGHLY recommended you update to this full release, especially if you are utilizing Electronic Scoresheets.
What's New
Version 3.0.0 features a major redesign of the entire non-administration user interface. Utilizing the power and flexibility of Bootstrap 5.3, the non-admin user experience receives a major facelift. This includes:
- Single-page layout for competition information display (rules, etc.).
- At-a-glance snapshot of critical entrant information – entry status, drop-off, shipping, registration, and judging dates.

What's Changed
Version 3.0.0 also features some major updates, add-on features, and bug fixes. More details and a complete list of enhancements and fixes is available on the 3.0.0 Milestone, but here are the highlights:
- Live entry counts, total and paid, displayed on the home page during the entry window.
- Streamlined process for adding entries. Users have the option to return directly to the Add Entry screen after adding any entry.
- Incorporation of the 2025 BJCP Cider Guidelines.
- Incorporation of the 2025 AABC Cider Guidelines (which are based upon the BJCP update).
- For Admins:
- Admins can now specify entry limits at the style type (beer, mead, cider, etc.), overall style (Dark European Lager, Belgian Ale, Fruit Mead, Common Cider, etc.), or table level (custom combination of sub-styles – requires the site to be placed in Tables Planning Mode for the duration of the entry acceptance window).
- Enhanced Admin Dashboard sidebar that features automatically updated entry and evaluation counts.
- Enhanced Admin Evaluations Dashboard sidebar that features automatically updated evaluation counts by table.
- Redistributed all preferences into distinct categories.
- To addres multiple issues with the ability to send system-generated emails from the application (account creation confirmations, contact, etc.), there is now a requirement for admin-provided SMTP credentials of a single email address. With these SMTP credentials, all emails generated by the system now leverage phpMailer by default – a tried-and-true PHP class for sending emails that overcomes many of the limitations of PHP's native mail() function.
- Added an additional option for the Awards Presentation display.
- Autosave now available for the judge, BOS judge, steward, organizer, and staff assignment functions.
- Judges or stewards are automatically assigned to the respective pool upon registration, providing they registered as one or the other initially.
- Added hCAPTCHA as an alternative CAPTCHA option to Google's reCAPTCHA, which will soon be changing to a paid model.
