GenOffice v0.10.639 stable desktop installers.
What's New
- MCP over HTTP.
genoffice mcp --http <port>serves the same tool set as a Streamable HTTP server for agents on other machines: a container, a sandbox, a shared box. Files travel with the calls:PUT /files/<name>uploads one, everyfileparameter takes an http(s) URL, and tools that write a file hand it back as a download URL.--tokenprotects it. MCP agents can also read PDF text, edit the open document and drive the visible Sheets grid (@ZKelvins99). - Docs: picture-heavy documents open lazily with media served from the file on disk, so gigabyte files open in seconds; files over 512 MB are refused with a message instead of a crash; long documents open and type much faster; many Word-fidelity fixes for tables, anchored pictures and text boxes, header/footer spacing, chart labels and EMF+ clipping, Japanese font substitution, italic and bidi text.
- Markdown: saving keeps unchanged blocks byte-for-byte and re-serializes edited blocks in the document's own conventions (opt-in unchanged-source round trip by @GoodScholar);
```wavedromfences render as timing diagrams. - Sheets: smooth scrolling, duplicate and large-range copy on big workbooks; context-menu submenus reopen reliably.
- App: Help → Check for Updates; the AI panel can dock on either side (@GoodScholar); the in-editor Files pane is gone, the Home page Folders panel remains.
- AI providers: DeepSeek V4.1 Flash, gpt-6-astra and Opper (@Felixkw12).
- PPTX: chart categories honor the 1904 date system, slide text extracts in presentation order, single-quoted attributes and case-insensitive preset colors parse (@aniruddhaadak80).
Thanks to @ZKelvins99, @GoodScholar, @aniruddhaadak80 and @Felixkw12 for the contributions, and to @hanxiyuan163-gif, @qgzln, @jeandrescas, @krakotay and @131415927 for the reports.
