Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy plays (#63). It used to render its menu and then crash on Play Game. The cause was in Wine: on macOS it never told the game which task it was running on, so the game crashed on the nonsense answer it got back. Press Play and Highball offers the engine that has the fix.

Grand Theft Auto V works. Story mode plays through the Rockstar launcher, which now signs in and renders properly. GTA Online cannot work: it uses kernel-level anti-cheat that no tool can run under Wine.

An engine update no longer moves an environment onto the wrong Wine. Highball was asking that question about the default engine rather than about the environment in front of it, so an environment you had deliberately put on another engine could be moved onto a Wine it was not built for, and then fail to start. It also no longer deletes an engine it does not recognise, which an older Highball would otherwise do to a newer one's engine.

Environments no longer lose Apple's DirectX 12 permission (#61). An engine could arrive with D3DMetal present but no record that you had accepted the licence, so every launch quietly fell back to another graphics mode and the engine looked broken.

Spotlight no longer indexes your games. A game install is hundreds of gigabytes of files nobody searches for, and letting macOS index them could make the whole machine unusable for minutes.

A drive check that tells the truth. Highball said it would refuse drives formatted as exFAT. It never did, and it turns out it should not: an environment runs from exFAT fine. Instead of guessing from the format, Highball now tests the drive you pick and only refuses one that genuinely cannot hold an environment.

Also includes everything from the 0.9.0, 0.9.1 and 0.9.2 betas: a graphics mode per game with a guided retry after a bad session, engines and environments on any APFS drive, shortcuts carrying the game's own icon, and the compatibility database's verdicts for Guardians, GTA V and Five Nights at Freddy's.
