Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy plays (#63). It used to render its menu and then crash on Play Game. The cause was in Wine, not the game: on macOS it never told the game which task it was running on, so the game crashed on the nonsense answer it got back. Engine r5 fixes it. Played here on an M1 Pro at 27.5 fps. Pick "Apple's DirectX 12 support" and update the engine in Settings.

A drive check that tells the truth. Highball said it would refuse drives formatted as exFAT. It never did, and it turns out it should not: an environment runs from exFAT fine. Instead of guessing from the format, Highball now tests the drive you pick and only refuses one that genuinely cannot hold an environment, like a FAT32 drive, which cannot store a file over 4 GB.

Games can skip a graphics vendor's own library. Guardians asks AMD's driver library how old your driver is, because Apple's DirectX 12 layer presents your Mac as an AMD card, and then warns you it is too old. The database now switches that library off for the game, so the warning stops.
