The EA app installs again, on the Wine 11 engine. Its setup moves its files into a versioned folder and leaves a folder link in their place, and the default engine's Wine reports that link as made without making it, so the background service went missing and the installer rolled everything back with INST-14-1627 or INST-14-1603. The Wine 11 engine makes the link, and there the installer finishes and the EA app opens on its sign-in. Installing the EA app now asks for that engine, and Mirror's Edge Catalyst gets a recipe that sets up Steam and the EA app there (highball-db#318).
Switching an environment's engine yourself opens a page first. It names the engine, the programs that move with the environment and what stays, and lists the steps that apply. Switch then runs the same move as before, with the steps ticking off on the page, and closing the page never stops it (highball#254, from @matiasmg-ok's design in PR #230).
ContractVille starts in DirectX 12 since a game update and stopped with "DX12 is not supported". Play now passes -dx11, and it reaches the main menu on the Wine 11 engine.
The database gains the day's checks on an M4: Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA V, Overwatch 2 and Legacy CS:GO on the Wine 11 engine, Counter-Strike 2, Five Nights at Freddy's, The Sims Legacy Collection and Assetto Corsa on the default engine, with Legacy CS:GO playing a round on de_dust2 from its recipe. It also gains rows for the Resident Evil 6 Benchmark, Big Walk, Backrooms: Escape Together and SOS OPS!, and reports for Elden Ring, Satisfactory, BeamNG.drive, The Binding of Isaac, Death Stranding, War Robots, Warframe, Stacking and Streets of Rage 4.
