  • Feature is disabled by default. Uncomment terminal related config in /charts/gardener-dashboard/values.yaml and provide sane values.
  • In addition, the terminal-controller-manager has to be deployed.

Most notable changes

• [USER] Web Terminal Support: (#450, @petersutter)
  • Open terminal into cluster directly from the cluster's details page. You can find it under the Access card.
  • In the settings of the terminal window you can change the image to be used and also enable privileged mode (if allowed by Pod Security Policies) in case you want to troubleshoot specific worker nodes.
• [OPERATOR] The dashboard now uses ClusterRole aggregation to enhance the project-members with permissions to work with the terminals. See gardener/gardener#1539 for more details. (#479, @mvladev)
