What's changed
- Android: much smoother in busy scenes. The game and the renderer no longer take turns waiting for each other, and the game's own code runs faster on Android. On a Pixel 4a the attract demo now averages 59 fps (48 in 0.9.56), and its 30-40 fps stretches run at 55-60.
- The lighter graphics calls from 0.9.56's testing section are now on for everyone: about 8% less CPU on a PC, the picture the same.
NGB_D3D_TAKE=noneturns them off; theNGB_D3D_TAKEline from 0.9.56's notes can go. - PC: the Multithreaded Renderer (Graphics) gets the same fix as Android. Worth a try on a slower CPU.
