Commit: c97fea9 – Rename GPMCAuthProbe to PhotosBackup with onboarding, dashboard, and docs

Install SideStore

  • Install LocalDevVPN on the iPhone.
  • Install iloader on the Mac.
  • Connect the iPhone by USB, trust the Mac, open iloader, sign in with your Apple Account, select the phone, and choose Install SideStore (Stable).
  • On the iPhone, trust the developer profile under Settings → General → VPN & Device Management.
  • Enable Developer Mode under Settings → Privacy & Security and restart.
  • Connect LocalDevVPN, open SideStore, sign in using the same account, and refresh SideStore once before installing anything. These are SideStore's current official instructions. SideStore prerequisites · installation guide

Transfer and install the app

  • AirDrop the IPA to the iPhone and save it in Files.
  • Turn on LocalDevVPN.
  • In SideStore, tap +, choose PhotosBackup.ipa, and install it.
  • If asked whether to retain app extensions, keep Photos Backup Connect.
  • Accept any certificate creation/revocation prompt.

Enable the Safari extension

  • Go to Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions → Photos Backup Connect.
  • Enable it.
  • Allow access to accounts.google.com, or choose All Websites if that is the available option.

Test the complete connection

  • Open Photos Backup.
  • Follow the tutorial and open the Google login page.
  • Sign in and tap I Agree.
  • Open Safari's extension menu, select Photos Backup Connect, and tap Connect to App.
  • Accept Safari's prompt to open Photos Backup.
  • Confirm the app reports that the account was connected.
  • Force-quit and reopen the app. If the account remains connected without the Keychain warning, real-device Keychain persistence is working.
