Multiplayer Update

  • Added Public VR Lobbies, a separate lobby channel for this project's PC VR and Quest standalone builds. This is also compatible with playing my modded client in flatscreen. So you can still play with flatscreen PC players, they just have to use my client and still join through "Public VR Lobbiess" or private
  • Restored regular public-lobby discovery and joining through the Android-compatible public lobby directory.
  • Kept private lobbies and direct connections available for invited cross-platform sessions.
  • Regular public lobbies now disable VR cheats and all power-ups/special moves, including creating them from the title screen or after joining.
  • Added a clear in-game warning: Cheats / power-ups disabled. Play regular public lobbies at your own risk.
  • Kept the improved online visual handling for VR backpedaling without changing locomotion behavior.
  • Made VR settings accessible before hosting or joining.
  • Disabled VR nametags by default while their world-space placement continues to be improved. They may still be enabled manually for testing.
  • Fixed rotations with flips in "True First Person" Experimental mode

PC sm64coopdx crossplay is unfortunately no longer possible with PCVR. So I had to implement the changes to the PCVR version and sync it with the android networking as well.

Warning

This is technically an "unauthorized build" of SM64CoopDX. So follow all server rules. In regular public lobbies, cheats and power-ups are forcibly disabled. Remember that Mario's movement is changed slightly in our build though, so some things could be seen as an unfair advantage or cheating in certain modes. Play regular public lobbies at your own risk.
