The first release for Freelens 2.0. The extension now uses the v2 extension API, so it needs Freelens 2.0.0 or later. With Freelens 1.x, keep using a 5.x release.
Requirements
- Freelens >= 2.0.0
- Flux >= v2.0.0, <= 2.9.x
- flux-operator >= v0.6.0, for the
fluxcd.controlplane.iokinds - source-watcher >= v2.0.0, for
ArtifactGenerator(optional)
Install or upgrade
In Freelens 2.0, open Extensions, enter @freelensapp/fluxcd-extension and press Install. You can also install the .tgz of this release by its URL: Freelens checks it against the .tgz.sha256 next to it.
New
- ExternalArtifact (
source.toolkit.fluxcd.io/v1): a page in the Source group, details with the source and the artifact, and a chart on the Overview. A Kustomization or HelmRelease that uses one as its source links to it. - ArtifactGenerator (
source.extensions.fluxcd.io/v1beta1, source-watcher): a page, details, a chart on the Overview, and the Reconcile and Suspend/Resume menu items. - ImagePolicy: the details show Resumed, Interval, Digest Reflection Policy, and the latest and previous image references. ImagePolicy
v1andv1beta2get the Suspend/Resume menu item. - One sidebar entry per Flux kind: while the extension is enabled, the Flux kinds are no longer listed a second time in the Custom Resources tree of the cluster sidebar, only under "FluxCD".
Fixed
- Overview charts: each object is counted in one category. A suspended object without conditions no longer makes "In progress" negative. The Flux Operator kinds and
ArtifactGeneratorshow as suspended when their reconcile annotation isdisabled. - Condition badges: a stalled object shows as an error, a suspended one as Suspended. Sorting the conditions no longer reorders them in the object itself.
- Links in the details: references whose field implies the kind now link to the object, opened at the newest API version the cluster serves:
dependsOnof a Kustomization or HelmRelease;providerRefof an Alert;imageRepositoryRefof an ImagePolicy;- the included repositories of a GitRepository.
- Render errors: an error in a page, details panel or menu item of the extension stays in its place, as an error message or a missing menu item. It no longer replaces the whole cluster view. This also fixes a crash in the details of an ImageRepository
v1beta2without latest tags. - Optional fields: the model types follow the kubebuilder markers of the Flux APIs, so a panel no longer fails on a field that the API does not require.
