SecureDrop 2.12.3 was released on April 28, 2025. It included configuration changes to trigger the second phase of automatic updates for SecureDrop servers from Ubuntu 20.04 (Focal) to Ubuntu 24.04 (Noble). This release also addresses an issue where some SecureDrop instances that failed the pre-upgrade migration check could remain in a state with automatic updates disabled.
