We're pleased to announce the second Release Candidate of Dangerzone 0.10.0.
Your feedback on the first Release Candidate has been very helpful, and led to the following main changes:
- Make linux users check for sandbox updates in #1311
- Set UTF-16 encoding when running WSL in #1323
- Update the documentation regarding ICU in #1332
- Remove status-bar vertical bars in #1322
- Disable rosetta from the podman machine on macOS in #1324
- Make the
podman pullcommand and registry lookups go through Tor on Tails in #1336 - qubes: Silence update checks in #1340
- Add startup task that installs WSL in #1333
- Ask the user before downloading new container images in #1343
- Add Fedora 43 support in #1350
- Clear old images when loading a container image from a tarball in #1348
You can still help us test Dangerzone!
If you haven't tested out the first Release Candidate, or you did so unsuccessfully, we'd like your feedback on this one.
The steps are the same as previously:
- Download and install the Dangerzone
0.10.0RC1release: - Start Dangerzone for the first time.
- Wait while Dangerzone initializes.
- Select a document and convert it.
- Quit Dangerzone.
- Start Dangerzone for the second time.
- You should be prompted about enabling automatic sandbox updates.
- Click “yes.”
- Quit Dangerzone.
- Start Dangerzone for the third time.
- Dangerzone should verify, download, and install a new sandbox version.
- Once done, run a conversion.
