Insights Notebook

A major release of Insights with a lot of new features and improvements. The major feature released in this version is the Insights Notebook, which aims to solve the problem of creating complex and multi-step queries. It is built for more technical users aiming to provide a more flexible and powerful way to create queries.

Visual SQL Builder

The Visual SQL Builder is a new take on the query builder that aims to make it much easier to create queries without having to know SQL terminology. It is built for non-technical users. It is much more easier to read and understand how the data is being queried.

CSV & PostgreSQL Support

Insights now support CSV and PostgreSQL as data sources. The imported CSV files are stored in a local SQLite database called "File Uploads"

New Design System - Espresso

Insights now use Frappe's new design system called Espresso. It is much more consistent and modern than the previous design system.

Setup Wizard, Onboarding & Homepage

There's a new setup wizard that will guide you through connecting your first data source. Then users are guided through a couple of steps to create data sources, queries, and dashboards.
