This release reduces image-size overhead from permission changes and documents our repository versioning policy.
Building images now requires BuildKit 0.17+ with Dockerfile frontend 1.14+ (included in Docker Engine 27.4+ with its default builder), or Buildah 1.45+. Custom/remote builders must meet these requirements separately. Requirements for running published images are unchanged.
